Red light, ice baths, and the discipline of resisting maximalism.

Biohacking content tends toward gear acquisition. The harder discipline is restraint.

Biohacking is the corner of human optimization most prone to the maximalism failure mode. Every device works to a degree. Stack them all and you end up with a basement of gear and no actual practice.

The discipline that distinguishes this platform from a biohacking newsletter is the discipline of restraint. The question isn’t “does it work?” — almost all of these tools work to some degree. The question is “does it earn its place in a sustainable practice?”

“The stack isn’t what you own. The stack is what you actually use, weekly, for years.”

Three tests I run before any device goes into the stack: does it survive a tired Tuesday (if I have to motivate myself to use it, it won’t survive); does it compound (does the benefit grow over months, or is it a one shot novelty); does it replace something rather than add to something (the modern home has limited surface area for gear).

Red light works. Ice baths work. Sauna works. Compression boots work. PEMF mats work. Vibration plates work. The question isn’t which one to add. The question is which one to delete.
